It was wonderful to be involved in the British Ambassador's Summer party this month. The sun shone, the guests were gracious and we baked a lot, a lot of cakes.
The Ambassador's speach was quite touching, he focused on what rightly seems to be a new found respect between our two countries. What started with the Queen's visit progressed to Irish suporters cheering for team GB and all of the English fans roaring their hearts out for Katie Taylor in the Olympic Boxing arena.

My husband Declan and I getting ready for an apiary visit. Our bees are doing us proud this rainy summer and have almost filled our hive with rich, dark, floral honey.
